We take a hands-on approach to screen printing. From aligning artwork to burning screens, it’s that irreplaceable human touch that makes screen printing a true art form.

OUR STUDIO VALUES

 Communication

At Rabies Babies, communication is our number one priority. No more forgotten emails or missed phone calls. We actually prefer to talk on the phone or even meet face to face (we’re old school like that).

Craftsmanship

From preparing files for print to mixing custom inks, we take craftsmanship seriously. From the first pull to the last, we go above and beyond to ensure our clients receive only the highest-quality screen prints.

Creativity

Rabies Babies founder, Brendan Moyles Dorney, is a true artist at heart. Whether you’re looking for a poster design for a big-name band or a custom map of Denver, creativity is at the core of everything we do.

How It Works

STEP 1—File Preparation

Get in touch with Rabies Babies to receive a quote and send over your artwork. Once received, we begin preparing your files for screen printing including separating color layers, and adding registration marks, crop lines, and bleeds.

STEP 2—Screen Printing

Now it’s the fun part! We create precise transparencies of your artwork, carefully burn the screens, mix the inks, and start pulling prints to perfection.

STEP 3—Print Pickup, Delivery or Shipping

The ink is dry and your prints are ready to go! We offer convenient pickup, delivery, or shipping services from our studio located near downtown Denver, Colorado.

You’ve Got Questions. We’ve Got Answers.

  • Yes! We can take your project from initial sketch to printed work. In fact, it’s what we do best! Final artwork can be created for digital or print use, including custom screen printing.

  • Yes! We happily print designs made by other creatives and fine artists.

  • Yes! We prep files for screen printing with no need for additional editing or adjustments. We pride ourselves on clean, organized, and clearly-labeled layered files with all fonts outlined and artwork flattened. Each file is prepared at final size, separated by color layer, and print order at 300 DPI. All files include precise registration marks, crop lines, and bleeds.

  • Most of our prints are 18x24” or smaller, but we can screen print up to 24x36“. For digital printing, we can print a variety of custom sizes.

  • We can print on a variety of materials including paper, glass, and wood. Not sure about a material? Just ask!

  • While there is no minimum number of prints required, printing very small quantities may not be cost effective due to the labor-intensive nature of the initial screen preparation and purchasing of supplies.

Generally a minimum of 50 prints proves most cost effective, but exceptions can be made in some cases depending on the specifics of the project.

  • Yes! We carefully source all printing materials including paper stock and ink, with exception for unusual surface printing or specialty items.

  • We take into consideration the project needs, budget, the value of our experience and expertise, as well as industry standards to determine the price of a project.

Screen printing pricing is also based on the level of file editing and preparation required, trapping, number of screens and colors needed to be processed, custom color matching, mixing, and swatch testing, paper type, and numerous other factors.

  • A typical screen printing project takes approximately 3 – 4 weeks to complete. A project’s precise turnaround time depends on a number of factors including the complexity of design, quantity, and ordering of any necessary materials.

  • Projects that are required to be completed in two weeks or less are subject to rush fees.

  • A 50% deposit is required to begin work and purchase materials, with the remainder due upon completion of the project. For some larger clients who may require longer payment terms, a signed contract is required to start a project in lieu of a deposit. Payments may be made online or via check.

  • Any work created and delivered may only be used for agreed-upon items. No other variations may be printed without permission.

Any design files provided by the client remain with the client and/or the original designer. The client bears all responsibility to license or clear copyright for any provided files.

Rabies Babies does not wish to print stolen or copyrighted work or be held responsible for illegal use of another artist’s or brand's intellectual property. We respect creativity and do not work with parties that do not value the hard work that goes into creating art and design.

All rights to designs and illustrations created by Brendan Moyles Dorney are retained by him unless otherwise specified in writing. Rights may be negotiated, depending on but not limited to use, region, length of time, and other factors.
